Sword – we use the sword in traditional dance and sacred ceremonies and a sword can only be made and used by men
Dugong rib bones – used for making spear tips and barbs for spearing turtle and dugong and the bones are strong, durable and last a long time. We do not hunt for turtle and dugong anymore
Dolphin – we do not eat dolphins because they are sacred and they signal the coming of the fat sea mullet in winter and they help us catch them
Frog – the green tree frog was a regular food source for Mandubarra people and other tribal groups
Whale – the whale is not only sacred but he is also one of the creators of our reef
